The 2013 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox has been entertaining right from the start. Boston took Game 1 at Fenway Park but thanks to uncharacteristic errors by the Sox the next time out, St. Louis was able to return home with the series tied at one game apiece. Multiple breaks when the way of St. Louis in Game 3 as they were awarded the winning run by way of an obstruction of justice call and despite the fact that the Cards seemed to have all the momentum heading into Game 4, Boston found a way to even the series with strong pitching and timely hitting after falling behind early in the contest.

With both teams sending their top pitchers to the mound for a crucial Game 5, fans of both teams and baseball fans around the globe will undoubtedly be glued to their television sets for what could be the best game all season. Boston will send Game 1 winner Jon Lester to the mound while St. Louis will counter with ace Adam Wainwright. Expecting the star pitcher to carry his team to victory in Game 5 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Boston manager John Farrell says one of the reason's Lester is such a complete pitcher is because of the way he's able to perform on the big stage.

"His physical strength and endurance is unique," Farrell said. "I think the one thing we all recognize is that power stuff wins in the postseason. He's got it. He maintains it. And in addition to his physical strengths, there's a degree of concentration that he's capable of maintaining that gives him the ability to execute consistently."

Adam Wainwright surrendered five runs in five inning's during the Cardinals' Game 1 loss but despite the fact that the usually reliable star struggled at Fenway Park, the 32-year-old hopes his recent practice sessions help get him back on track for his next outing.

"It's a pretty clean slate," Wainwright said regarding his upcoming start. "I honestly don't know why my mechanics were as bad as they were and my delivery was off as much as it was. But I feel like I've put in a lot of good reps in front of the mirror, watching film and feeling my delivery and learning the basics all over again."
