As the latest SRT Viper moves itself considerably upmarket, the new sports car from Chrysler will now be offering its privileged customers more than 150,000 different Viper configurations to choose from.
Starting at a base price of just $97,395 for the standard Viper and $120,395 for the GTS, customers will get to select a wide variety of options starting with paint. The standard SRT Viper offers Adrenaline Red, Black Venom, Bright White, and Gunmetal Pearl. For an extra $1,000, Race Yellow and Shadow Blue Pearl will also be available. Exclusively offered in GTS trim, customers may also select Stryker Red Tinted Pearl and GTS Blue.
Racing stripes are as American as apple pie and it has been available in the Viper option's list since day 1. Depending on configuration, smaller SRT stripes will cost $4,500 while full length GTS stripes cost $5,000. Bright White GTS Stripes are only offered with limited availability for the Launch Edition models only.
Moving on to wheels, SRT Viper offers the standard five-spoke Rattler rims. Next, the six-spoke Venom wheels will be exclusively offered to the SRT Viper GTS only. Finally, the multi-spoke Sidewinder II wheels will be offered only as a part of the GTS-exclusive Track Package. Both the Rattler wheels and Venom wheels will be available in three distinct finishes -- polished, hyper black, and matte black. The Sidewinder II will only be available in a choice of Hyper Black or Matte Black.
Exactly as described, the Viper GTS Track Package takes the Viper's performance to the next level with upgrades including slotted two-piece lightweight rotors from StopTech and super lightweight Sidewinder II wheels fitted with high-performance Pirelli P Zero Corsa sport tires. In total, SRT claims that the package removes 57 lbs. of valuable unsprung weight from the Viper. The Track Package costs an extra $3,500. An optional matte finish on the wheels will require an additional $500.
To complement the performance focus on the outside, SRT is offering a slew of options inside the Viper as well. Racing seats from Italy's Sabelt add a European flair to the Viper's American brutality. the track ready seats from Sabelt will come available in premium ballistic nylon, Nappa leather with Alcantara inserts, or Laguna Premium leather. Premium nylon will be the standard offering for the base Viper while the Nappa leather seats will be available as a $3,000 option in the base Viper and as standard equipment in the Viper GTS. Finally, the $7,500 GTS Laguna interior package will generously apply the exquisite material throughout the cabin of a Viper GTS.
Beyond performance and creature comforts, the SRT Viper does not skimp on tech and gadgets either. The Grand Touring Package offers a number of technology amenities including an upgraded infotainment system featuring full 3D graphic navigation and one-step voice destination entry, Bluetooth, and a back-up camera. An embedded cellular connection allows the Viper to also provide live traffic updates and several downloadable apps.
While the Viper's engine note from its 8.4 liter V10 is more than enough to satisfy most audiophiles, SRT will also provide Satellite and HD radio to enhance longer drives. What's more SRT will also offer an impressive 18-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio package, available in both the base Viper and Viper GTS, for $2,995 and $1,000, respectively.
