Eugenio Derbez continues to make strides in Hollywood in big ways. His film, "Miracles From Heaven," which he starred in opposite Jennifer Garner was so sweet and he also just received a star on the Walk Of Fame for his career in the entertainment world. The Mexican comedian is an unstoppable force, which will help him out for his next role. Derbez has been attached to voice the character of Speedy Gonzales in a new movie. Eugenio will give life to the Looney Tunes character that has the memorable catchphrase: "¡Arriba! ¡Arriba! ¡Andale! ¡Andale!"
Eugenio Derbez is also attached to be one of the producers along with partner Ben Odell via their 3Pas Studios. “In Mexico we grew up watching Speedy Gonzales,” the actor told Deadline. “He was like a superhero to us, or maybe more like a revolucionario like Simón Bolivar or Pancho Villa. He watched out for the little people but with a lot of bravado and a weakness for the ladies." Derbez says that he is perfect for the role as he shares more than one characteristic with with the funny mouse. "I’m really excited to be bringing this character to the big screen. And besides being Mexican— my full name is Eugenio Derbez Gonzalez and I have big ears. The casting couldn’t be better.”
