Eugenio Derbez will be honored with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame both for his artistic career and philanthropic endeavor. In celebration of his achievement, Derbez released a funny sketch targeting presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The video, captioned: "This is how Trump received the news of Eugenio Derbez's recognition on the Walk of Fame," shows an actor with blonde hair and bleached eyebrows portraying an angry Donald. "Another Mexican on the Walk of Fame? Not if I can help it," says the GOP candidate in the video. In a recent interview with Jorge Ramos, the Mexican actor and director explained the reason behind his new sketch. "The best way to respond to Trump is with actions," he said.
In 2014 it was announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce that Derbez, along with Sofia Vergara and Pitbull, were part of the "Class of 2015 Star Honorees." Derbez became a major hit in the U.S. with the release of Pantelion Films' 2013 movie "Instructions Not Included." Although the heartwarming film opened in select theaters, it broke records in its opening weekend, becoming the most successful Spanish-language film ever in the U.S.
Derbez will receive his star on Hollywood's Walk Of Fame via a live ceremony held at 11:30a.m. PST Thursday.
