Editor's Note: 'Goth Kids' did not air as planned on Wednesday night because of a power outage in South Park Studios, which caused the creators to miss their deadline. In its place ran 'Scott Tenorman Must Die'. The new episode will premiere next Wednesday, Oct. 23. Read more about what happened here.

Comedy Central's most popular animated series returns on Oct. 23 with Episode 4 of Season 17, entitled "Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers". The new episode of "South Park" revolves primarily around the Goth kids, according to a press release from the site's website. "One of the Goth kids has been sent to a camp for troubled children," reads the site. "When she returns, her friends find her changed in a disturbing way. With their very existence threatened, the Goths have to do something drastic. They are forced to ask the Vamp kids for help." In last week's episode, the creators of "South Park" reached into their bag of tricks back to the trial of George Zimmerman after having killed Sanford, Florida teen Trayvon Martin - a case for which controversy broke out while the Comedy Central show was off air. In the episode, entitled "World War Zimmerman", character Eric Cartman became convinced that Token - the only black kid in South Park - blamed him and other whites for the verdict on the Zimmerman case. And that as such, Token was the most dangerous man in South Park. And that he was like Brad Pitt in the zombie movie "World War Z", which would make Token the "patient zero". The creators threw in a little conspiracy, too: the US government came asking George Zimmerman to shoot a young black man, which Zimmerman says he's "[given] up". The cartoon Zimmerman shoots Cartman instead. Then Cartman shoots Token, and claims he stood his ground, which sets up an argument between them over the stupidity of Stand Your Ground laws.

In the clip, "There's My Sunshine", Henrietta the Goth kid is called into the living room to have a little talk with her loving parents, who tell her it's come to their attention that there are other parents out there with "emo" kids, and assure her that they still "love their little Muffin". "We've had a hard time coping with the dark things you're into," says Henrietta's father, "but we've finally had some counseling. We've learned about - what it is you're into - and apparently we're not the only parents who have a child that is - emo." A characterization which Henrietta, of course, takes exception to.
