Lorena Herrera had some strong choice words for William Levy after the Cuban actor allegedly dropped out of "Sin Censura." The stage strip show features some of the hottest telenovela actors like David Zepeda, Ferdinando Valencia, Salvador Zerboni, Lambda García, Pedro Moreno, Jorge Aravena, Fernando Carrillo and many more. Levy was promoted to be one of the central stars and billboards promoted the actor as being part of the show. During the opening night, the "La Tempestad" lead actor was a no show causing uproar with fans that bought their tickets to see him shirtless. To be fair, William, never confirmed his participation in the show and it was all the producer's fault for lying to the public.
All of this drama caused Herrera to slam Levy for being unprofessional and only using México to gain fame. "That is being a climber, that only uses people for their own benefit," she said. "Now that he is famous in the U.S., he forgets about México. That's what happens to producers for giving foreign climbers an opportunity." It has to be said that Herrera's husband, Roberto Assad, is part of the show. "There is so much talent and handsome Mexicans that are there and they are not offered an opportunity. And why? Because, 'I trust the Argentines, I trust the Cubans,' and all of them just come to uses us. We are a country with great international projection with an impressive infrastructure in telenovelas and films. They use us and leave. Look at what they do, like this cat."
It is safe to say that Lorena Herrera suffers a little bit from xenophobia, but funny enough, moments prior to the show starting the actress had kind words for Levy according to TVyNovelas. "I think William Levy is a spectacular guy, great body, face," she said. "I think he's very sexy and I really want to see the show." We believe that actors should be free to go where they are offered opportunities of growth. If William Levy has other projects that will help him grow as an actor, he shouldn't be tied to only making a career in México because that's where he became famous. Lorena Herrera has been working in the U.S. for the past couple of years, taking away opportunities from local Latino talent, just because she is more recognized, so she should know better.
