Shayne Lamas, Lorenzo Lamas' Daughter, Hospitalized After Suffering Miscarriage

Reality TV star Shayne Lamas, known for her appearance on The Bachelor in 2008 and a stint on General Hospital, was hospitalized Sunday night when paramedics were called to her Orange County home after she collapsed. Lamas, who was expecting her second child with husband Nik Richie, was bleeding internally around her uterus, according to doctors. She was 16 weeks pregnant and unfortunately ended up losing the baby. She has a 2-year-old daughter, Press, with Nik.

After she was hospitalized, rumors surfaced that Shayne, who happens to be the daughter of Lorenzo Lamas, was in a coma. But her dad released a statement to People denying the rumors and updating everyone on her condition. "We are so grateful that my daughter, Shayne Lamas-Richie, is conscious and stable. She is not in a coma, however she did miscarry the child she was carrying," Lorenzo Lamas said.

"We are so very grateful to the hospital personnel and the doctors who saved her life last night." His statement continued: "Shayne is aware of her condition and that her family and her husband are here with her and love her so much. She will be remaining in the hospital until her doctors determine that she can be released." We hope Shayne has a speedy recovery and wish her and her family strenght during these difficult times.
