Shawn Mendes is clearly not game for PDA anymore, at least not this time around. Netizens couldn’t stop speculating soon after Mendes deleted a video of him and Camila Cabello OTT kissing.
The Canadian singer’s move got followers talking, discussing and jumping to conclusions. Now followers of his and Cabello’s love story couldn’t stop expressing their angst.
“[H]ow are you gonna delete ur most liked post,” said a user. “[IT'S] OKAY YOU CAN DELETE THAT VIDEO BUT PLEASE POST SOME CUTE STUFFS OF YOU AND CAMILA RIGHT AWAY,” said another user.
This was conjured up to hit back at trolls, who made fun of the couple’s constant public displays of affection. In fact, up until recently, fans had gotten accustomed to seeing the couple make out at parks, pools, cafes and everywhere else.
Quite like most lovebirds in the showbiz industry, Mendes and Cabello started low-key. They often called themselves just “friends,” though fans worldwide already knew there was much more than just platonic friendship.
It turned out, however, that the two music artists already knew that there was some sort of attraction between them. And they just let things be as they were busy trying to establish their careers.
Recently, the “Havana” singer revealed that she often sent her songs to Mendes for his views. His feedback really mattered the most to her, and she made that known. There have also been reports about Cabello being scared about letting him go as there’s “more to lose.”
“It’s almost scarier because you have more to lose,” Cabello said in the interview. “When you first start dating a person and you know nothing about them, there’s less at risk there. I think when you fall in love with somebody you’ve known for a long time, there’s more at stake,” she added.
The revelation got netizens gushing over their love affair and felt everything was perfect about the couple. Meanwhile, work has kept the two busy. Mendes has taken his world tour over to Asia, and he just performed in Tokyo, Japan. Cabello, on the other hand, is busy promoting the latest tracks from her upcoming second album.
