Jennifer Lopez found a director for her NBC series “Shades of Blue” and it’s not just any director; it’s Oscar winner Barry Levinson, who’s known for “The Humbling” starring Al Pacino, “The Perfect Storm,” “Good Morning, Vietnam,” amonst many others. Levinson will be directing the first episode of the series, which was written by Adi Hasak, known for his work on “From Paris With Love.” Jennifer Lopez will produce the show and Ryan Seacrest will be the executive producer from Ryan Seacrest Productions, alongside Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina and possibly, Jack Orman.
Lead star, JLo will be playing the part of Harlee McCord; a single mother and undercover FBI agent who investigates cases of corruption, only she’s been bribed by the same criminals she’s after. Harlee will face the dilemma of betraying her FBI colleagues or taking the easier way out by doing what’s most convenient for her.
“It’s an exciting project to be working on with Jennifer,” said Levinson, “Adi has written a police drama that gets into the fascinating dirt behind law enforcement with a female character we haven’t really seen before.” And NBC seems to agree with this excitement as the network has already ordered 13 episodes of the show and shooting is slated to begin next summer. Are you excited to se JLo come back to the small screen? We are!
