Seth MacFarlane Splits With 'Game Of Thrones' Star Emilia Clarke; Was The Break Up Because Of Charlize Theron?

Seth MacFarlane called it quits with girlfriend Emilia Clarke. The 39-year-old best known for lampooning his native New England in "Family Guy" split from the "Game of Thrones" star this week. E! News reported the breakup was partially due to a "location challenge," as MacFarlane is now based in California and Clarke's series films mostly in Europe.

The multi-talented voice actor, known for playing Peter and Brian Griffin on his FOX animated series "Family Guy" and most recently as an animatronic bear, Ted, alongside fellow New England native Mark Wahlberg, is reported to be linked with actress Charlize Theron. However, an anonymous source told Gossip Cop that the widespread "rumor" is false. The source does not deny, however, that the two are close friends.

Seth MacFarlane had nothing but positive things to say about his now-former girlfriend, saying in an interview prior to his Oscars hosting gig that "she is an incredibly kind, supremely talented person and one of the hardest-working people I have ever met."

His "Family Guy" Oscar performance was seen by many as a refreshing change reminiscent of equally funny actor Billy Crystal's longtime tenure as host. However, unlike Crystal, some of MacFarlane's jokes drew criticism from some folks. The Huffington Post reported his "We Saw Your Boobs" diddy was not well received by many women in the audience. However the creativity of his multiple musical acts as host were well received by many.
