The cast of “Sense8” celebrated Gay Pride with the people of Sao Paulo, Brazil last weekend, sources reported.
According to several publications, Alfonso Herrera, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Max Riemelt, Tina Desai, Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Freema Agyeman, newcomer Toby Onwumere and showrunner Lana Wachowski partied on one of the parade’s floats while they filmed scenes for the show’s upcoming season.
In a video posted by Herrera, who gives life to Lito’s lover Hernando, the “sensates” can be seen holding hands on their way to the parade, and once on the vehicle, they start spreading the love with each other.
Although we are still unsure of what the plotline surrounding this scenario will be, the sequence appears to be similar to season one’s orgy scene, where the characters connect with each other while experiencing intimacy with others.
During a recent interview with BuzzFeed, Riemelt, who plays German criminal Wolfgang Bogdanow, revealed hot and steamy scenes are to be expected during season 2. “There’s more sex, more violence, more of everything!” he said.
Smith, who plays Chicagoan cop Will Gorski, told the online news outlet that the new season will definitely bring the characters closer together.
“Lito’s problems because Riley’s problems become Nomi’s problems – it’s a beautiful tapestry,” he said. “The show is so much more interconnected this year. There’s very rarely a scene that someone will have in their home city where someone else doesn’t get folded in from the cluster.”
The last time we saw the characters together was in Iceland, after they joined forces for the first time to save Riley and Will from Whispers, played by Terrence Mann. Unfortunately, it was too late for Will.
“Lana [Wachowski] described it as a fugue state,” Smith said. “It’s an in-between consciousness and unreality that he has to stay in to both hide from Whispers and hunt him at the same time. A lot of season 2 is this really interesting chess match between the two of them that takes some really surprising turns.”
And we cannot wait to be surprised! In the mean time, scroll down to see some videos and images from the cast at the 2016 Gay Parade in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
