Gigi Hadid has set the record straight about the real score between her and Selena Gomez’s ex-boyfriend, Samuel Krost. Earlier this week, romance rumors involving Hadid and Krost made the rounds online after the two were photographed very close together last weekend.
Last week, it was reported that Hadid was “very single” and was not dating anyone. However, the tides started to turn earlier this week as several tabloids linked her to Krost. The romance rumors took off on Wednesday night when the female fashion model was spotted leaving an establishment with Gomez’s ex.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to speculate that something was brewing between Hadid and Krost, especially since Krost was also the same “mystery man” that some paparazzi spotted hanging out with Hadid on March 31. The prospect of Krost dating Hadid was a shocking pairing for most fans, especially since Krost once dated Gomez, who has been Hadid’s close friend for a long time. Last week, she also revealed that she still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik.
To address the rumors, Hadid took to Twitter on Wednesday to tell everyone that she and Krost are just close friends. In fact, they’ve been longtime friends. The young model made it clear that she and Krost are not a thing and that she does not have “a thing” with anyone of the opposite sex at this point in her life.
Hadid went on to clap back at news outlets that spread fake rumors about her love life. “If you outlets are going to continue writing bs headlines every time I’m seen with a friend of the male gender, then there’s gunna be a lot of unneeded confusion,” she wrote, adding an upside-down emoji, a narrowed-eye emoji and a face-palm emoji.
Shortly after her tweet, her ex Malik shared a series of vague heated tweets, which some thought was in reference to Hadid’s previous post. “How about you all go f**k yourselves with your irrelevant b**ls**t? This ain’t a place for feelings. And you aren’t the person you said you were,” he wrote in one of his tweets.
Rumors about Hadid and Malik’s breakup began to swirl in December 2018, but it was not confirmed until January. Meanwhile, Krost admitted in an interview in 2016 that he and Gomez had briefly dated around fall and winter of that year.
