Selena Gomez Says Justin Bieber Holds A Special Place In Her Heart Too

Following Justin Bieber’s controversial Instagram post defending both ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and wife Hailey Baldwin, Gomez told a source that Bieber holds a special place in her heart too. However, she respects his marriage to Baldwin and wants to stay out of the picture as much as possible.

It can be recalled that earlier this week, Bieber clapped back at an Instagram troll accusing him of not being genuinely in love with Baldwin. In a lengthy comment, Bieber called out the troll to defend Gomez and Baldwin, saying that while he “loved and still loves” Gomez, his wife is the “best wife” ever. He also described the move accusation as “immature” and told the troll that she should be ashamed of herself.

“I absolutely loved Selena and she will hold a place in my heart, but I am head over heels in love with my wife and she is absolutely the BEST THING that has happened to me period,” Bieber wrote. “The fact that you want to spend your day dedicating yourself to hate says a lot about you, and if this was some sick ploy to get my attention you are wrong on so many levels,” he added.

Although Baldwin has kept mum about the issue, Gomez seems to want to show the world that Bieber’s sweet comment about her meant nothing to her. On Wednesday, Gomez was back to promoting Puma’s CALI Exotic, posing for the brand’s promotional images as its ambassador with her glowing smile. And while she did not publicly comment on Bieber’s post, a source claimed that Gomez was aware of her ex-boyfriend’s defense of her and his sweet words about her and Baldwin.

“But, Selena also appreciates what Justin said about her too, and shares some of the same feelings,” the source said. “Selena will always have love and a place in her heart for Justin, too. She is doing her best to give Justin space and respect his marriage to Hailey,” the source added.

Bieber married Baldwin in a secret wedding ceremony in New York last year. Before their marriage, the male singer had been in an on-and-off relationship with Gomez for eight years.
