Selena Gomez is easing her way back on the scene after taking some time off this summer. The Mexican-American songstress won over viewers and pleased her fans with a heart-wrenching speech at the 2016 American Music Awards and now she is committed to creating new music and living her life on healthier terms. It is being reported that the star may be quietly working on a new album!
According to Hollywood Life, Gomez has started recording music again! After taking some time away and admitting herself into a rehab treatment facility in Tennessee, the star is back and ready to give her fans what they have been waiting for!
A source tells Us Magazine, in their new issue that Gomez used a lot of her time in treatment to write songs, and with all that she has ben going through this album will be a memorable one!
“Selena wrote lots of lyrics in treatment,” the source told Us Weekly. “She has so many ideas.”
The news is exciting to hear with Gomez suddenly canceling the remaining dates of her Revival tour last summer after revealing to fans that she needs to take a break to focus on her health. As you may or may not know, Gomez was diagnosed with lupus and she has been battling complications of the disease over the last couple of years.
The site reports that Gomez is currebtly working on the new album at a Los Angeles studio. The starlet is one to live up to the phrase "art imitating life" as she chronicles certain issues she has gone through within her music. Before her rehab stint, besides dealing with complications with lupus, the star was in an ongoing feud with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. While some of her hit songs can be linked to her and the Canadian singer's on-again off-again relationship, the jury is still out on if any of her new tracks will talk about Bieber.
While Gomez is committed to remaining positive and building her career, the star has recently snagged a $10 million deal with Coach. Post treatment the singer is committed to finding who she is as a woman and continuing to build her brand and if she keeps going, nothing can stop the star.
