Selena Gomez just followed Bella Hadid on Instagram and her fans are now in a frenzy. On Tuesday, the singer re-followed Hadid in a public show of peace after unfollowing her two years ago.

Although Instagram has already done away with the Following Activity tab, eagle-eyed fans of Gomez are still able to keep track of Gomez’s following activities. Earlier this week, they confirmed that Selena Gomez had extended a social media olive branch to Hadid by re-following her.

It can be recalled that Gomez and Hadid had a fallout sometime in 2017, when Gomez briefly dated The Weeknd. Before Gomez hooked up with The Weeknd, Hadid had been in an on-and-off relationship with the rapper for four years.

When Gomez and The Weeknd started dating, both artists unfollowed Hadid on Instagram. Hadid also unfollowed Gomez when her relationship with The Weeknd finally went public. Gomez and The Weeknd’s relationship lasted until October 2017, during which time fans regularly caught them making out in public. The unfollowing created a lot of drama at the time, especially when Hadid, reportedly, subtly waged war against Gomez on social media as soon as she heard the news about the singer and her ex.

Gomez’s recent move only goes to show that she is totally over the drama she and Hadid had two years ago surrounding The Weeknd. Gomez only dated The Weeknd from January through October 2017, while she was recovering from her breakup with longtime boyfriend Justin Bieber.

This is the first time Gomez followed Hadid since she unfollowed her in 2017. In the course of the last two years, Gomez has never interacted with Hadid on the social media site. Back in May, however, Hadid made headlines when she seemed to have attempted to make peace with Gomez by liking one of her pictures.

As of now, Bella Hadid is still not among Gomez’s Instagram followers. For fans, however, the fact that she liked her photo earlier this year and that Gomez re-followed her on Tuesday only goes to show that there is no more bad blood between them.
