Selena Gomez Admits She Grew Up Too Fast

At only 23 years old, Selena Gomez already has the title of actress, singer, fashion designer and entrepreneur ---and get this, she's successful in all of them!

In a span of 13 years, we've all watched Gomez grow up before our eyes: From her days in "Barney & Friends" to becoming a Disney Channel star to her on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber to her sultry video in "Good For You."

According to the Mexican-American songstress, being a child star in the industry made her grow up way too fast.

"I was seven when I got my first role," she said to German magazine TV Movie of her gig in "Barney in Friends". "Even though it was a kids' show, I was surrounded by adults all day. I listened to them a lot and started to talk about things I probably wasn't old enough for."

Though she became an adult before she was ever a teen, Gomez confessed that she feels most grown up when she pays her mortgage. "It's the most expensive thing I've ever treated myself too, but also the best."

However, she also admits that she can be herself and a kid at heart, when she's with her family in Texas. "I don't have any responsibilities there and can just be myself," she added.
