Sebastien de la Cruz has taken over the Internet after the 10-year-old performed at the NBA Finals game on Tuesday. The young boy performed the American National anthem and caused an uproar on Twitter with racist tweets against the Mexican-American child.
Sebastien de la Cruz then graciously responded to the racist backlash he faced proving that he is both mature and wise beyond his years.
"They don't know my life," said De La Cruz. "My father was actually in the Navy for a pretty long time, and I actually salute him today for that and I just wanna thank him, and just to be able to singing the national anthem. People don't know, they just assume that I'm just a Mexican. But I'm not from Mexico, I'm from San Antonio born and raised, true San Antonio Spurs fan."

Sebastien de la Cruz returned to perform at Thursday's Game 4 play off to give another flawless performance.
"I just want to thank everybody for their support," said Sebastien de la Cruz. "To be honest, it's just the people how they were raised. My father and my mother told me that you should never judge people by how they look. You should judge them on the inside. And the saying that I go by is never judge a book by its cover."

2. Sebastien de la Cruz's Tuesday night performance was a spontaneous change of plan, as the young boy had to be a last minute replacement for country artist Darius Rucker, who is known as "Hootie" from Hootie & the Blowfish.

3. Sebastien de la Cruz was a contestant in "America's Got Talent" last season. In season 7, Sebastien was eliminated in the fourth week and was brought back as a wild-card by Howie Mendel. He was elminated in the semi-finals. Sebastien de la Cruz told My San Antonio that he was competing in "America's Got Talent" so that he could help his family pay for his younger brother's surgery, as his brother was born with a hearing problem.
4. Sebastien de la Cruz revealed in his Austin auditions, where her performed a renedition of "Besame Mucho" dedicated to Sharon Osborne, that he did not have a girlfriend (back then, at least) and he wanted to focus on his music. He did reveal that when he did have a girlfriend, he would serenade her.
