Sebastián Zurita currently stars in Telemundo's primetime telenovela "La Impostora" opposite Lisette Morelos and his mother Christian Bach. The 27-year-old actor had struggled to land a leading role on the small screen after starring in "En Nombre Del Amor" for Televisa. His bad luck began after he was cast as the leading man in "Abismo de Pasión" opposite his former girlfriend Angelique Boyer. The production was a remake of "Cañaveral De Pasiones," which was originally produced by his famous parents Bach and Humberto Zurita. Sebastián had a small role in the original as the younger self of the lead actor and it would've been interesting to see him fully take on the adult role years later.
Weeks before shooting started he was let go from the project citing he was "too young" to be the lead in a primetime telenovela, which was strange as Boyer was his same age. Zurita now believes that it was the jealousy of José Alberto "El Güero" Castro that made him lose out on the project. Castro and Boyer had been dating and it did not sit well with the producer that she would be sharing the small-screen with her former beau. "It was four projects that they took away from me, sometimes for political or personal motives someone with more power than you comes and takes them away from your hands," he told a Mexican tabloid magazine. "I don't know if one day 'El Güero' will tell me, it was because of this... I wouldn't take a second of my life to do what they did, then I will not take a second of my life to dedicate it to them, they are not imporant to me, if you will."
Sebastian's last project in Televisa was a small role in "Cuando Me Enamoro" in 2010. Angelique Boyer and Sebastián Zurita met while filming "Corazón Salvaje" but broke up when their jobs kept them away. Boyer soon started dating the famed Televisa producer and recently announced their break up. "Through this medium we want to inform you that after a marvelous relationship full of love, it has become our decision to end it," a statement the couple released read. "In this moment in our lives we need to confront responsibilities that don't allow us to maintain, how it should be, our love. We ask for your understanding and respect so that no speculation arises. We will not make any other statement."
