Scarlett Johansson is one of the most popular actresses today, and fans just can’t get enough of Black Widow, the seductive but deadly character she plays in the “Avenger” films. As expected, she has her share of on-screen kisses, but there is one particular kissing scene that’s more memorable to her than the rest.
In fact, she just wants to do it again. During Vogue’s “Hollywood, Nollywood, Bollywood Squared!” game, nine world-famous actresses that include Angelababy, Elizabeth Debicki, Léa Seydoux, Hera Hilmar, Deepika Padukone, Adesua Etomi, Eiza González and Golshifteh Farahani had to answer a series of questions in a game show format. When asked who they would like the most to kiss onscreen, Johansson replied, “I would go round two with Penelope Cruz. Hey P.”
Scarlett Johansson did share an onscreen kiss with the Spanish actress, so she knows how good of a kisser Cruz is. They both starred in the romantic comedy film “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” which was released in 2008.
Speaking about her Black Widow role, Johansson revealed that she has some pretty weird interactions with fans because of her role. Usually, fans will show her the Avengers tattoos they had, which is fine with her, except that she noticed just one thing — her face looks like that of her “Avenger” co-star Jeremy Renner.
“I've definitely seen a lot of bad Avengers tattoos and for some reason, mine always look like my face looks more like Jeremy Renner than Jeremy Renner's face,” Johansson told the girls. “I don't know why. I guess we look alike?”
Meanwhile, Vogue already released its April 2019 issue, which carries the theme “A Celebration of Global Talent.” It features 14 celebrities from all over the world, which include Scarlett Johansson, but critics are now saying that its supposed message of diversity has been undermined due to Johansson’s presence.
Or rather it’s the position of Johansson’s image that had critics worked up. In the issue’s front cover, Johansson was placed front and center flanked by South Korean actress Doona Bae and Indian film star Deepika Padukone. On the second cover shoot, Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki and France’s Léa Seydoux were said to be placed more prominently, while they are flanked by Chinese model, actress and singer Angelababy and Nigerian star Adesua Etomi-Wellington.
Critics say that the magazine’s decision to place white women in its center while women of color are placed on the sides like sidekicks does not seem to promote the idea of diversity at all. Scarlett Johansson is no stranger to such complaints at all as she also received criticisms when she played the lead role in “Ghost In The Shell,” a role that fans believe should have been portrayed by an Asian actress.
