At least four people are dead, and the gunmen killed, after a rampage shooting Friday in the area of Santa Monica College. The LA. Times reports that it all began with the suspect allegedly setting a house on fire where two people died, then shot a woman in a car nearby the campus when the police began the chase, shot three more in the area around the campus, and it ended by him dying on the floor of the college library, where he tried to hide.
Santa Monica City Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks confirmed to CNN that the gunman was killed by police in the library of Santa Monica College and that six people are officially dead.
In addition, Santa Monica College is on lockdown.
The Police and the FBI are working on putting together the pieces of the puzzle on the sequence of the attack that began around noon (pacific time).
