New rumors regarding details about the Samsung Galaxy S5 has emerged online. It is being reported that Samsung is ready to move away from the lowly 1080p tech and start focusing on something a little higher for its flagship smartphone. According to EvLeaks Samsung has been looking at a quad HD display for the upcoming Galaxy S5 device. Not to be confused with the 960x540 qHD resolution display, the 2560x1440 resolution display will likely be the first of several to be released this year by Samsung.
Meanwhile the leak also included a look at an Android APK labeled fingerprint service called fingerprintservice.apk. This new leak definitely adds to the rumor that Samsung is looking to add biometrics to their upcoming Galaxy S5, although many are still hoping it will be the iris scanning feature that is added instead of a fingerprint sensor. After Apple announced their new TouchID fingerprint sensor feature it was expected that other big mobile phone companies would try to add a similar feature to their upcoming devices.
Substantial leaks have emerged online although Samsung has yet to be revealed any official details regarding the highly-anticipated device. If the rumors are correct we’ve still got a couple more months before Samsung announces the laugh of the Galaxy S5. While no photos of the plastic or metal shells have been released online we are sure to see more leaks including what the phone looks like as we progress towards summer.
