Eiza Gonzalez made her Hollywood debut in a sexy role that once was incarnated by Salma Hayek. Both women played the provocative role of Santanico Pandemonium in "From Dusk Till Dawn" by Robert Rodriguez. Hayek took on the iconic role in the feature film back in 1996, where she performs a sultry dance in with a snake wrapped around her. The character was such a key part to the movie that helped Salma's career in the U.S. as she was making a name for herself. Now Gonzalez is following in her footsteps in the television adaptation being presided by the same acclaimed director. Eiza steps in Santanico's bikini with a snake wrapped around her neck on stage with her sensual and seductive dance moves. Both women have completely different body types, but which one do you prefer? Vote in our poll down below!
Eiza is making her U.S. television debut with Santanico Pandemonium, the director of the series recently described her performance as "magnetic." Santánico is described as the mistress of evil and the central figure in an ancient cult of bloodsucking vampires known in our realm as culebras. Santánico has a certain effect on people – her "gifts" allow her to stare deep into a person's soul and know their deepest desires. Dancing with the big snake freaked out the actress while shooting the scene. "It was really hard [working with snakes] and it was my first scene when I got to Austin," Eiza said. "There were 20 snakes in the pit, the one that goes in my mouth is CGI but all the other ones were in there. The guy who was taking care of them said, 'oh, it's all good just don't touch the rattlesnake because that one might bite.' How am I going to know if they all look like normal snakes to me."
The series main setting is along the Mexico-US border where bank robber Seth Gecko (D.J. Cotrona) and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard ‘Richie” Gecko (Zane Holtz) shoot their way south after a bank heist in Abilene, Texas. The 10-episode series takes place over the course of one night, following the brothers as they try to evade a pair of Texas rangers, Earl McGraw (Don Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Jesse Garcia). Along the way, Seth and Richie encounter former pastor, Jacob Fuller (Robert Patrick) and his family. The Geckos take them hostage and steal their RV to cross the border. Chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club populated by vampires. With the law, the undead and some of Mexico’s most hardened criminals on their trail, the group must fight until dawn to get out alive. The show is part of El Rey Network, which is a new cable network that launched late last year. Internationally, "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" is streamed via Netflix, with weekly episodes being uploaded soon after the U.S. broadcast.
