Robbie Draco Rosa's cancer has unfortunately relapsed. The Puerto Rican singer's manager, Angelo Medina, confirmed the news to Puerto Rico Un Nuevo Día. The singer has suffered from non-Hodgkins lymphoma since 2011, however, in May this year he announced that he was at last free of illness. Just five months later the illness returned. However, Draco is already undergoing considerable treatment and will finish his tour of US and Mexico.
Draco's relapse comes as sad news to many fans. The multiple Grammy-winner learned of the news but decided to keep quiet. "He told me the night of the Latin Grammys," said Medina. "I was complicit in his silence...you have to respect this decision for its purity and its respect for the public to keep silent in order to not distract from the event at hand." Rosa won 'Album of the Year' for "Vida" which he began recording after learning of his diagnosis in 2011.
Draco Rosa's battle with cancer will therefore unfortunately continue. However, no doubt the Puerto Rican singer will confront the disease with courage and determination. Doctors are hopeful of recovery.
