"The Riveras," the exciting reality that follows the children of late Mexican-American music icon, Jenni Rivera will air its mid-season finale after a major success this year at NBC Universo.
During last week's episode, Chiquis, Mikey, Jacqie, Jenicka and Johnny took viewers behind the scenes of “Paloma Negra” music video, one of their mother’s most popular songs. This time around, right on the middle of the season, we’ll see the last episode of the year where Jenicka breaks down in tears showing how much she struggles to live without her mom’s support.
On the other hand, Johnny has conflicts with feelings of desertion. Meanwhile, Chiquis must find a way to reunite the family. On this episode, you will also rejoice watching "The Riveras" as they put test themselves and prove blood is thicker than mud at an outrageous gladiator mud race.
Despite the critics over the reality, the show has resulted on a very entertaining production that allows us to know more about Rivera’s family from another point of view: how a human being can survive after one of the main members of its family dies.
A couple of months ago, while promoting the reality, Chiquis confessed this projects means a lot to her. “We want to show the world that it is possible to move forward despite adversity. It is true; life without our mother has been painful and difficult. We had bad moments, but at the end of the day we joined as family to try to solve them," she declared.
The first season of "The Riveras" consists of 10 episodes and reaches the "small screen" almost four years after the tragic death of "La Diva De La Banda" on a plane crash on December 9, 2012. The show has done so well that we really expect the best of it for 2017.
