More than ten years after her death, Jenni Rivera's children remain committed to honoring their mother's mission of helping those in need. The Jenni Rivera Love Foundation continues its work in Los Angeles with a recent charity event raised funds for victims of the city's devastating fires.
More than just a fundraiser, the event was a celebration of the iconic singer's legacy, known for her generosity and dedication to the less fortunate.
A meaningful event
Jenni Rivera's children—Jacqie Rivera, Johnny López, and Jenicka López—hosted the event at Cerveza Cito in Santa Ana, California.
A highlight of the evening was La Chacalosa, a special beer launched in 2022 as a tribute to Jenni Rivera. More than an homage, the beer became a fundraising tool, allowing attendees to enjoy a drink while supporting an important cause.
The connection between Cerveza Cito and La Chacalosa made the event even more meaningful, as this was where the beer was originally created.
Proceeds from the fundraiser went directly to families affected by the fires in Los Angeles, many of whom lost their homes and urgently needed assistance.
"Immediate help is essential in times like these. We are here to continue our mother's work, as she was always deeply committed to her community," said Jacqie Rivera.
A lasting legacy
Beyond fundraising events, the Jenni Rivera Love Foundation has made a long-term impact by establishing shelters for domestic violence survivors. The recently opened Jenni's Refuge, provides comprehensive support for women and children who have suffered abuse, reinforcing the foundation's commitment to social welfare.
Jenni's children are determined to keep her legacy alive. Johnny López echoed this sentiment: "We're here to do what our mother would have done—help others."
The Jenni Rivera Love Foundation continues to create a space where people not only receive aid but also feel part of something greater, proving that community-driven efforts can make a real difference.
