‘Reign’ Spoilers: Watch Sneak Peek Clip Of Mary’s Final Wedding Decision In Episode 13 ‘The Consummation’ [VIDEO]

The inaugural season of CW’s new series “Reign” has reached its most pivotal point, Mary will finally decide whom she will Mary either Francis or his half-brother Bash. Episode 13, “The Consummation” will treat fans to the return of Francis back at French court surprisingly with Lola by his side, in addition Mary’s mother Mary of Guise will be at French court most likely excepting to see her daughter to marry the next King of France. Mary, Queen of Scotts has found herself caught between her head and heart, and now between two brothers whom she believes both have her heart. So what’s a Queen to do when her first love’s life will be in peril if they marry, and his heart will be broken if she marries his brother? We are not yet sure, but what we do know is that her choice will be both heartbreaking and dramatic.

In last week’s episode “Royal Blood” Mary was shocked by Bash’s proposal, the bastard son of King Henry, who could be made legitimate by the Pope, got down on one knee and asked Mary to marry him to which she answered “yes.” In addition, to Mary’s acceptance on Bash’s proposal, her first love Francis may also be moving on with Lola. Francis saved Lola and even went so far as to pay off her brother’s debt, which was threatening his life. Their chance meeting and Francis’ honorable heroics have shown a different side of the young prince to Lola, one that she admires. However, the connection between Lola and Francis will be short-lived, “Reign: show runner Laurie McCartney revealed that, “Lola gets involved with Francis, but she will also move on to others. She's the first of our girls to be really driven to find a husband."

This means that both Francis and Bash are still deeply enamored with the young Queen, so when a letter arrives from Rome declaring Bash either legitimate or illegitimate, Mary must decide. In a new sneak peek clip from tonight’s episode “The Consummation” Mary is seen speaking with Queen Catherine, Francis’s mother before her decision and subsequent marriage. The Queen, who has shown her distaste not only for Mary but the marriage between them that will ultimately kill her eldest son, has left the final decision up to Mary handing her the letters and informing her that she is free to decide which future King of France she marries.
