Below is a recipe from Chef James Tahhan for a granola parfait with homemade granola, agave syrup and exotic spices.
INGREDIENTS:
Ingredients For Granola:
6 cups of oats precooked
1 cup of sliced almonds
1 cup of cashews
3/4 cup of lined coconut
1/2 cup of honey
1/4 cup of agave syrup
1 cup of raisins
1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
Ingredients For Yogurt:
2 cups of low fat yogurt
4 tablespoons of agave honey
16 wedges of orange
15 strawberries and blueberries
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
1/2 tablespoon of cardamom
Fresh Mint
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Prepare the granola mix in a large bowl by mixing all the ingredients and then evenly distributing them on a tray lined with paper.
3. Bake for 20-30 minutes; allow to cool.
4. Mix yogurt in a bowl with agave nectar, cinnamon and cardamom.
5. In a dish, layer the fruit and yogurt mixture. Garnish with granola.
