Big stars from Don Omar to Marc Anthony are gathered in Miami tonight to celebrate the best Latin artists of the year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
Below is a list live of winners and events for those who missed them:
8:24 p.m.: Solo Artist of the Year and Latin Rhythm Album of the Year both go to Don Omar. He is up for eight awards tonight.
8:30 p.m.: Edward James Olmos says that he anticipates that Jenni Rivera will be nominated for an Oscar for her performance in the film "Filly Brown," which recently appeared in theaters, before her death. A moving tribute to her life plays for the audience featuring friends and Latin artists.
8:34 p.m.: Jenni Rivera wins six awards, including: Latin pop solo artist of the year, Mexican artist of the year, Latin pop album of the year, Mexican regional album of the year, female artist of the year and artist of the year.
8:37 p.m.: Latin artists pay tribute to Jenni Rivera. "Because muscians are honored with music," said Olmos.
8:44 p.m.: La Arrolladora Banda El Limon wins for best regional Mexican duo or group.
8:47 p.m.: Juan Luis Guerra takes the stage. He was nominated for six awards during last year's Latin Grammys.
8:56 p.m.: Wisin y Yandel win for best Latin rhythm duo or group.
9:02 p.m.: Maná wins the Hope and Spirit Award for their environmental work in Latin America. This is the band's second award of the night.
9:10 p.m.: Prince Royce bests Don Omar for the best male artist of the year, album award. He says he wishes to extend his award to all the new, young artists in the field with him.
9:13 p.m.: Carlos Vives takes the stage and is hailed as the forefront of Columbian/Brazilian music. He is not nominated for any awards tonight.
9:19 p.m.: The airplay song of the year is Don Omar featuring Natty Natasha for "Dutty Love." Natty Natasha speaks first and dedicates her award to all Latinos, to which Omar followed up: "When women speak, the men stay quiet."
9:27 p.m.: The Tu Mundo award, voted upon by Latin music fans, goes to Romeo Santos. "It's really amazing," he says in English before thanking the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
9:29 p.m.: Draco Rosa and Mana have taken the stage for a group song.
9:41 p.m.: Don Omar kills three birds with one stone, taking best Latin rhythm song of the year, best Latin collaboration song of the year and streaming artist of the year.
9:43 p.m.: Best regional Mexican song of the year goes to Gerardo Ortiz, decked out in traditional Mexican attire. He dedicates his award to his father and fans.
9:45 p.m.: Paulina Rubio hits the stage with a slew of guitarists, decked out in an amazing one-piece and sparkling boots. The crowd goes wild.
9:54p.m.: Price Royce takes yet another award, giving Don Omar a run for his money, with his win in the best tropical song of the year category. He has apparently left the arena.
9:56 p.m.: Don Emilio Estefan takes the stage to present the trajectory artist award. He is best known for his determination in getting Latin music to become a recognized artform worldwide. The winner is Jose Jose, who gracefully takes the stage and is greeted with a standing ovation.
10:04 p.m.: Il Volo, an Italian group that sings in Spanish, joins the stage in tribute to the career of Jose Jose.
10:14 p.m.: Chino y Nacho takes the award for best tropical duo or group, songs catergory.
10:17 p.m.: Wisin y Yandel storm the stage in a Daft Punk-esque display, complete with neon lights and helmets.
10:32 p.m.: The best male artist of the year goes to, after a bit of "naughty" words from Michelle Rodriguez and Vin Diesel, Don Omar, the projected favorite.
10:42 p.m.: The album of the year award goes to Romeo Santos.
10:56 p.m.: Michel Teló, who was a performer but not nominated last year, takes one of the final awards of the night for song of the year.
11 p.m.: Another Billboard Latin Music Awards has come to a close. Big winners tonight include: Don Omar with 10 awards, Jenni Rivera with 6 and Prince Royce with 4.
