In an unexpected turn in the saga of the Menéndez brothers, Rebecca Sneed, wife of Lyle Menéndez, publicly announced their formal separation. However, her commitment to his and his brother's Erick freedom hasn't changed.

This announcement comes at a particularly delicate time, coinciding with rumors of an alleged relationship between Lyle and a young British woman, and just ahead of the court hearing that could redefine the brothers' future.

Rebecca Sneed, who married Lyle in November 2003, used Lyle's Facebook page to share the news.

In her message, Sneed clarified that although they have been separated for some time, they maintain a friendship and continue to consider each other family. She also emphasized her unwavering commitment to fighting for the freedom of Lyle and his brother Erik, highlighting that their separation is not related to any infidelity scandal.

"Guys! This is NOT a cheating scandal. Lyle and I have been separated for a while, but remain best friends and family. I continue to run his Facebook pages, with input from him, and I am forever committed to the enduring fight for Lyle and Erik's freedom, as has been so evident over the years.
Please keep this page as the abuse survivor support page Lyle wants it to be. I'll continue to update you all on the progress of the case because I believe we all have the common goal of seeing the guys walk free!
I will never stop fighting for them. Please continue to join us in this fight! ❤️"

Infidelity Rumors

The separation occurs amid reports suggesting that Lyle, 56, has been involved in a relationship with Milly Bucksey, a 21-year-old British student.

The relationship reportedly began through a Facebook support group managed by Sneed, where Lyle allegedly contacted Bucksey under an alias. As the relationship progressed, Lyle revealed his true identity, and Bucksey traveled from England to visit him at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego.

Prison authorities confiscated a contraband cellphone that Lyle had allegedly used to communicate with Bucksey, potentially complicating his efforts to secure a sentence reduction. Despite these reports, Sneed insisted that their separation is not related to any infidelity scandal.

The Story of Lyle and Rebecca

Lyle and Rebecca Sneed met a decade before their marriage, initially through correspondence. Rebecca, who was a journalist at the time and later became a lawyer, has been a constant source of support for Lyle during his incarceration. In previous interviews, Lyle described their relationship as strong and based on communication, emphasizing that their marriage provided him with peace and joy in the stressful prison environment.
