Looks like “The Real Housewives Of New York City” are soon going to be back in our life with its upcoming Season 12. But there will a quite a few changes- new faces, missing favorites, with the majority of Season 11’s cast returning to the series. While the show makers are yet to drop RHONY’s trailer or premiere date, we are expecting the usual spring premiere for the show.
So, let’s start with who all are coming back:
As we mentioned, the majority of the RHONY Season 11 cast will be returning to the series- Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Tinsley Mortimer.
There will be some exciting storylines this season will explore, like Mortimer got engaged to her boyfriend, Scott Kluth, so naturally, this will be part of her storyline. She also recently moved to Chicago, so season 12 of RHONY will probably be the last we see of her.
“Tinsley moved to Chicago, but she’s not a New Yorker. She’s from Florida, she lived in Florida — that’s her residency,” Morgan shared. “She’s never really been a New Yorker, she’s been living in a hotel, and you know I’m happy that she’s happy. She’s much happier where she is, let me tell you that. I can see it.”
The cast members who have bid farewell to the reality show
The major absence that will be felt in RHONY Season12 will be of Bethenny Frankel who has been a full-time cast member for 11 seasons. But now she has confirmed that she will no longer be a part of the series.
“I have decided to leave the Housewives franchise to explore my next chapter,” Frankel stated. “It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women.”
Frequent guest star Barbara Kavovit is bidding goodbye to RHONY from season 12 after being a guest on the reality show for many years but will not be appearing in the new season.
The new faces you will be seeing on RHONY
As per a report in The Blast, Leah McSweeney, from The Millionaire Matchmaker in 2010, will be joining the cast as Tinsey’s good friend. And looks like she will be facing some tough crowd as Dorinda Medley shared that during the filming of Season 12 everyone has already poked fun at McSweeney’s tattoos.
“Leah has some tats, so the Housewives, you can imagine Ramona [Singer] and Dorinda’s response to her, which was, ‘Um, really, tats? We don’t talk to people who have tats,’” she explained.
