Sofía Vergara was nominated for a Razzi Award. Which other Latinos made the "Anti-Oscar" nomination list? Wireimage

The “Golden Raspberry Award,” commonly known as Razzie, or the “Anti-Oscar” is an award presented to recognize the worst in film. American copywriter and publicist John J.B. Wilson founded them in 1980, and the first annual Razzie Awards ceremony took place one day after the Academy Awards ceremony in 1981, now officially known as the Oscar ceremony. The name Raspberry came from “blowing a raspberry,” and the actual award is a "golfball-sized raspberry" which sits atop a Super 8 mm film reel, the whole of which is spray-painted gold.

This year, the Oscars are set for March 2, so that means we can expect the Razzies on March 3. They have recently released their pre-nomination list, which includes several Latina actresses. Salma Hayek got a nomination for Worst Supporting Actress thanks to the comedy “Grown Ups 2.” Sofía Vergara, our favorite Latina on TV also joined Salma on that category with her appearances on “Machete Kills” and “Escape From Planet Earth.” Selena Gomez landed a spot in the Worst Actress category for the film “Getaway,” and Jennifer Lopez joined her with “Parker.”

No Latino actors landed on this year’s list, however, we are slightly shocked with some of our favorite Latinas landing those not-so-coveted nominations. What do you think? Do Sofía, Salma, JLo and Selena deserve their nominations? Were their performances so bad? Don’t be shy and let us know.
