A young man who has gained fame on the social media site Tiktok and accumulated a large number of followers has been pronounced dead over the weekend after a fatal truck stunt that went terribly wrong.
Timothy Hall, an 18-year-old boy known in online and social media circles as "Timbo the Redneck," died this weekend in Florida when his attempts at doing doughnuts in his pickup truck caused an accident, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Hall’s future brother-in-law Tony posted a YouTube video on Hall explaining the situation in detail. He said that Hall was doing stunts for content on his Tiktok account when the tragedy occurred.
“He was doing donuts with his girlfriend and the truck just flipped over and he flew out the driver’s side window and the truck landed on top of him,” Tony said in the video. “His whole body, the truck landed on top of him.”
Doughnuts are a type of car stunt where you try to create circular skid marks by rotating the tires in the front or at the back in opposition to the other wheels of the car.
Hall, a recent high school graduate, performed the stunt using his truck, a modified GMC Sierra with a Confederate Flag license plate, according to the Independent.
Hall’s mother, Tessie, also posted a Tiktok video to inform people of his passing, according to the New York Daily News.
“He won’t be making anymore videos. My son was in a bad accident yesterday and didn’t make it and I want to thank everybody for all the fans that he had,” she explained.
She continued by talking about his love of Tiktok: “He loved TikTok and just believed in all the fans and everybody that supported him and it meant a lot to him”
Hall’s online persona "Timbo the Redneck" was known as a conservative comedian who talked about life in the South as well as his vehement support of former U.S. President Donald Trump. He has amassed over 200,000 followers on Tiktok.
The family has set up a GoFundMe to pay for funeral costs for Hall. Almost $10,000 has been donated to the fundraiser.
