Princess Charlotte had not met her late grandmother, but a recent throwback photo of Princess Diana’s niece shows that her genes are very much alive through Charlotte!

Lady Kitty Spencer posted a throwback photo on Instagram to show her excitement for the 2019 Melbourne Cup held Tuesday. She wrote on the caption, “Lexus Melbourne Cup here we come!! Channeling my inner jockey since 1992!”

The adorable 1992 version of the English model caught the attention of many for bearing a striking resemblance to four-year-old Princess Charlotte. One follower commented on her post: “Charlotte Cambridge!” The comment has since gained hundreds of ‘likes’.

The second child of Prince William and Kate Middleton has been compared to Queen Elizabeth’s childhood photos before. This time, fans are looking into the features she got from Princess Diana’s side.

Kitty Spencer has always been known for her resemblance to her late aunt, but she is also remembered for her outgoing personality. Earlier this year, Princess Charlotte has been described to be the ‘outgoing’ sibling between her and Prince George who was reportedly more reserved.

Spencer is the eldest child of 9th Earl Spencer – Princess Diana’s brother Charles – and Victoria Aitken(s). She has kept in touch with cousins Prince William and Prince Harry as shown in her presence in both of their royal weddings.

Lady Spencer is known for her striking fashion sense as an English model and for having been a spokesperson for jewelry brand BVLGARI.

True to bringing high-class fashion in various events, the model dazzled the public with her form-hugging ombre dress at the 2019 Melbourne Cup in Flemington Racecourse on Tuesday.

The chic rainbow pastel attire with flared sleeves made by Roland Mouret – a French designer known to have worked with Meghan Markle before – came with a striking fascinator, clutch and strappy heels, according to Daily Mail.

“I love the English traditions with their hats and millinery, but I love looking around and seeing all these bursts of colors and everyone having such a great time, it’s a great energy,” she said at the event, according to Hello! Magazine.

In her previous attendance to Melbourne Cup in 2015, Spencer wore a stunning piece made by designer Alex Perry. Her attendance to the event was her first visit to Australia following one of Princess Diana’s footsteps after she graced the annual event in her 1985 tour.
