When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the United Kingdom before heading to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, Prince Charles reconnected with them. On the other hand, the encounter did not go well.
After skipping Prince Philip's burial ceremony and following their controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's visit to the United Kingdom were favorably received.
Many suggested they extended an "olive branch" to the royal family. The "supposed olive branch,'" according to royal biographer Angela Levin, author of "Prince Harry: Biography of a Prince," was really "another media ploy." Sussexes allegedly paid the visit to "get more public sympathy."
"I don't think it was an olive branch at all," Levin wrote for The Sun.
According to the royal correspondent and novelist, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's reunion with the Prince of Wales wasn't indeed about healing their relationship.
"First of all, Harry arrived late. What was he doing beforehand? He couldn't have been that busy," Levin added. "And secondly, he was only there for about 10 minutes."
Levin stated that making reparations in ten minutes is "an insult," and that doing so is impossible. He also feared that such a brief meeting would just "incite Charles' fury and great anguish."
When Levin was working on Prince Harry's biography, she had the opportunity to interview him and accompany him on different events. He'd changed drastically, she claimed.
He recalls Prince Harry as a dedicated worker who was willing to assist his father. This time, however, he acts "like an idiot," according to Levin.
"It's an idiotic thing to suggest that, when you haven't been around for a year, you are somehow in charge of protecting the Queen," she continued. "It's an outpouring of venom - and not the Harry I once knew."
Meanwhile, The Sun said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are rumored to be planning to join the royal family on the balcony for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The Prince of Wales and the royal family, on the other hand, had previously agreed that the day would be dedicated to the Queen.
On the other hand, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could steal the show from the Queen.
As a result, they may not be permitted to be on the balcony or to attend the event. The presence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration has yet to be confirmed.
