Prince Harry Seen To Snub Charles’ Coronation Due To Disdain For 'Queen' Camilla

As the future coronation of Prince Charles looms in the future, Prince Harry is reported to be unwilling to attend his father Charles’ coronation as king of the United Kingdom if it includes Camilla’s coronation as well during the program.

Prince Harry, whose recent visit to the Queen sparked rumors of his attendance and participation at the Platinum Jubilee, has reportedly made clear to many that he will not be attending Prince Charles’ coronation if Camilla will be crowned as Queen beside him, according to the Daily Beast.

“One red line has recently emerged, however. Harry has no intention of attending his father’s coronation if Camilla is to be anointed and crowned just a few feet from where his mother’s coffin lay in Westminster Abbey,” an unnamed source said. “[The queen] may have given her blessing to Camilla becoming queen consort, but Harry refuses to bend.”

The shocking news comes as a surprise, as Charles has let people know over the years that he wishes Camilla to be crowned Queen Consort when he is elevated as King. This new development might stymie the recent efforts of Charles and Harry to bridge the wedge between them.

Prince Harry is not the only child that Charles is reported to have problems with: he has also found himself in arguments with Prince William over different matters, with Prince William’s temper being described as “unpredictable” by those close to him, Marie Claire reported.

“Even senior members of his circle will ‘check which way the wind is blowing’ before becoming too self-assured in his presence or raising problematic issues that might be better addressed at another time. Other insiders confide that William can be an emotional character who is, on occasion, ‘difficult to handle,’” royal expert Robert Jobson said.

The tempers of Harry and William have been known to confound Charles, to the point where his wife Camilla has been forced to mediate between the two to keep Charles from being trampled over by the feelings of his sons.

“Sometimes, the level of William’s belligerence has shocked his father, who’s always loathed confrontation. The result is that Charles tends to tread carefully when dealing with his heir and fails to pull him up on his lack of respect,” Jobson said.
