Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales, or Prince Harry for short, will be crossing the Atlantic for a visit to the United States. The 28-year-old younger brother of Prince William, son of Prince Charles, will be spending time in Washington, D.C., as well as Colorado and a few other places.
However, Prince Harry wanted to make time to view the storm-ravaged New Jersey coastline, forever changed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Mayor George Nebel, R-Mantolooking, will meet with Prince Harry and walk along some shorefront streets. His May 14 visit to the Garden State will conclude with a visit to Seaside Heights in Ocean County, where he will be greeted by Gov. Christopher J. Christie, R-N.J.
Prince Harry will visit Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, as well as what the New York Daily News is calling "several charity stops" for HALO, an organization formerly championed by his late mother, Princess Diana. The organization works to "remove the debris of war", including land mines and the like, from affected areas of the world.
