Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Might Appear On Buckingham Palace Balcony, Join Queen At St Paul's Cathedral

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might possibly appear in the traditional balcony line-up during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebration.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are confirmed to be returning to the United Kingdom for the celebration of the Queen’s historical 70-year reign. The final day of the bank holiday will be on June 5, the Queen and members of the Royal FAmily are believed to make a final appearance on the balcony to round off the weekend during the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

According to an insider, "The Queen was reportedly open to the idea of having the Sussexes by her side on the balcony." The 96-year-old Queen may have had a change of heart, and it is possible that the couple will make an appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony with other royals after all. They are also 'likely' to attend the service at St Paul's Cathedral.

However, Prince Charles and Prince William reportedly disagreed. The source added, "They feel that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have caused nothing but chaos since moving to America with their endless tell-alls and interviews throwing shade at the royal family. They think it would be hypocritical of Harry and Meghan acting all smiles and waving to the crowds from the balcony like they’re one big, happy family."

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan will be joined by their children, three-year-old Archie Harrison and 11-month-old Lilibet Diana. It will be the first time the Sussexes have visited the UK together with their children since leaving for the United States in 2020. A spokeswoman for Harry and Meghan said, "Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited and honoured to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children."

The long bank holiday will be full of different events all scheduled to happen in line with the Platinum Jubilee celebration. There is a Platinum Pageant, which will parade through the streets of London, it is set to be watched by up to a billion people across the globe. The £15 (nearly $19 million) million parade will be on the final day of the bank holiday and includes a performance by Ed Sheeran, a giant 3D sculpture of the Queen and the Gold State Coach.
