Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were notably missing from Prince Philip's service of Thanksgiving last week, but they might soon make an appearance at a high-profile event.
According to Hello! royal watchers are hoping the couple will attend the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham to his fiancée Nicola Peltz.
Harry and Meghan are close to the Beckhams. David and Victoria Beckham were invited to the Sussexes' royal wedding in May 2018. They also got the invitation to Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding in 2011. So it would come as no surprise if the Beckhams have extended a wedding invite to both the couples.
Meghan had publicly showed her support for Victoria, who is a fashion designer, by wearing her creations on some of her memorable royal engagements. She wore a bright blue T-shirt style dress at the Endeavor Fund Awards, which was one of her last outings as a working royal. Meghan also turned to Victoria, opting for a navy dress, for her first Christmas Day church service as a Duchess.
As for Harry and David, their friendship goes way back, so it wouldn't be a surprise if the royal flies from his California home to Florida for the April 9 wedding.
In 2013, David talked about his bond with Harry and elder brother William, saying that they did a "lot of functions together." The footballer said that it's a "very normal relationship," and that they're "very easy to get along with."
The news of Harry and Meghan probably attending the upcoming wedding comes days after they snubbed Prince Philip's memorial. Harry is facing criticism after he skipped his grandfather's memorial, making him the only senior royal to do so, according to The Sun.
Harry, who is pursuing a legal challenge against the Home Office, blamed his absence on the ongoing row over police protection when he is in the UK. He decided to take the legal route after he was told that he would no longer be given the "same degree of security" when visiting his home country from the US, where he is currently staying with his wife and kids. Harry, who offered to pay for protection himself, said that he longs to return to the UK with his family, but fears they will be at risk.
