The Liars and Ali seen here in the Season 4 finale episode "A is for Answers." Despite Ali only recently returning home to Rosewood it seems like "A" will be back on her trail in episode "Run, Ali, Run!" Alloy Entertainment

“Pretty Little Liars” Season 5 will premiere this summer and now that Ali is back in Rosewood, everything has changed. But how long will the former disappeared teen be playing nice and attending high school? If the title of episode 6 is any indication, then fans should expect Ali to be departing Rosewood rather quickly after her return.

Episode 6, which follows the “Pretty Little Liars” milestone 100th episode is entitled, “Run, Ali, Run!” which leads us to believe that Ali will once again be in danger and on the run from “A.”

Show runner Marlene King and the rest of the “Pretty Little Liars” writers normally borrow episode titles from popular culture, this time it’s the German film “Run Lola Run.” The 1999 action thriller chronicles the tale of Lola, who has a mere 20 minutes to arrive at the well-known 10,000 Deutsche Mark or her beloved boyfriend will ultimately die.

At first, “Pretty Little Liars” paying homage to a German film seemed a bit odd until further investigation. The film is shot in a somewhat episodic format, which provides viewers with three different versions of Lola’s journey to rescue her boyfriend. “PLL” has been known to reveal bits and pieces of information creating multiple different versions of one event, most notably the night of Ali’s disappearance.

Season 5 will provide fans with a more in-depth look into the full character of Ali, now that she is back in Rosewood, new episodes will most likely focus on her. Considering Ali’s reappearance, the pop culture reference, and the episode 6 title, fans can expect Ali and “A” to play an entertaining game of cat and mouse. Although don’t expect Ali and “A” to be playing normal games, fans will most likely be given three different versions of the torture and escape.
