Possible UFO Sighting In Pacific Ocean Makes Internet Users Go Wild

After reports of a possible unidentified flying object (UFO) sighting in the Pacific Ocean emerged, internet users went wild.

Located near the coast of Nazca in Peru, it was apparently spotted by UFO enthusiast Scott Waring, reported Marca. The photograph is of a circle, which is around 4.2 miles in diameter and can be spotted from 352 miles off the coast of Lima. According to UFOsightingsdaily.com, what is puzzling UFO enthusiasts is that the circle seems to rise from a hill or a mountain.

There are a number of reasons why strange shapes often appear on Google Earth in the ocean floor. The company uses data from multiple sources to map the seafloor. These sources have differing level of detail and resolutions, and when the data is stitched together, it's possible that a strange shape can pop up. This is apparently merely a graphic glitch.

With this latest sighting of a possible UFO, the company has made clear that the exact spot of Waring's finding occurs in the middle of a transect line. It is where a shipboard sonar radar has passed, so this makes it possible that the shape is just a side effect of joining those multiple data sources.

Meanwhile, Daily Star reported that a video was taken from the deck of a US warship. It showed "two car-sized ball of light UFOs." They are allegedly being kept secret by the Pentagon. It was captured by the crew aboard the USS Kearsarge, but officials have marked it as classified.

Sources described the phenomena as "balls of light" that were around 200 feet above the ocean and following around half a mile behind the ship last October.

Documentary producer Dave C. Beaty, who is behind the 2019 film "The Nimitz Encounters" that's about the 2004 US Navy encounter with the "Tic Tac" object, has claimed to know about the video. The US Marines on board filed a report with the Department of Defense which is now allegedly keeping it under wraps, the producer told The Sun. The report allegedly included the footage.

The fact that it's been kept classified means the US is being more open about UFOs, but there still remains a veil of secrecy about the strange encounters.

The Pentagon had previously revealed its investigations related to UFOs. The dossier examined what America calls “UAPs” - unidentified aerial phenomena. It was triggered after an unexplained encounter episode with USS Nimitz in 2004. The official position from the US military is that the phenomenon remains unexplained, but is unlikely to represent proof of contact with aliens.
