By the final months of the Porsche 997 series, Porsche offered more than 20 different variants of its flagship sports car - including the standard Carrera, GTS, Speedster, GT3 RS 4.0, and the GT2 RS.
Now, only a year into the release of the latest generation Porsche 911, Porsche has announced a new offering in the form of the Carrera S Powerkit upgrade for Porsche enthusiasts. Offered by the Porsche Exclusive department, the Powerkit features a remapped ECU, new cylinder heads and camshafts, a variable intake system, an additional radiator, a low-backpressure exhaust, and Sport Chrono dynamic engine mounts.
The final outcome of all the extensive hardware upgrades is a power boost from 400 to 430-hp. Equipped with Porsche's dual-clutch PDK transmission and the Powerkit claims a 0-to-62 mph run in just 4 seconds flat.
Providing sharp looks to match the bigger brawn, the Powerkit package also offers aero kits including a stylized RS front end and a ducktail spoiler as well.
