Not much has been revealed about the coming titles "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon," but according to recent rumors, the new Pokémon games will reportedly have two regions.
According to ThebitBag, a small portion of the announcement trailer indicates that the newest title will bring segments of the previous titles together. In the video we first view all the main title Pokémon and the games they are associated with plus the year it was released. Then the trailer states "it all comes together in 2016." While this could mean a lot of things, some fans have speculated that the "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games will feature all previous regions from past games.
One major concern here is the massive size of the game. If Game Freak and Nintendo did decide to put all older regions into "Pokémon Sun and Moon," then you can imagine that the game size will be incredibly large. Maybe even too large that the 3DS' cartridge cannot store that much data.
Furthermore, thanks to the concept art shown during the initial announcement of the games, fans were able to indicate that Pokémon Centers and Poké Marts would receive updates to their respective designs. Plus, the concept art reveals that transportation may change in the games.
IGN and Kotaku both noted an abundance of vehicles in the concept art as well. The websites spotted a fire engine, a pickup truck and and an ambulance and noticed some of these were ridden by Pokémon.
The "Pokémon Sun and Moon" title will be compatible with the online Pokémon storage system, Pokémon Bank. This means that gamers can transfer over Pokémon they have captured in games such as "Pokémon X and Y," "Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" and even the virtual console versions of "Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow."
This title will also be the first entry in the Pokémon series to be available in Chinese, both simplified and traditional.
