While we may have got a handful of information regarding the forthcoming titles "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon," Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are far from done.
The Pokémon Company took to its official Japanese Twitter account to announce that a batch of new details regarding both games will arrive as early as next week. The firm tweeted the following message:
Which, according to Nintendo Life and Google Translate, reads: "The next time new Pokemon Sun and moon information, 7/1 (Friday), night 10 o'clock coming soon! To enjoy!"
There is also the possibility that fans will receive more news about both titles this weekend, as Pokémon will have a booth at the World Hobby Fair in Chiba, Japan. The fair is hailed as the largest exhibition for kids in Japan, and Pokémon director Junichi Masuda will have a gameplay demonstration during the show.
Furthermore, according to Comicbook.com the announcement will come right as The Pokémon Company will be hosting several National Championship tournaments on July 2 and 3. The U.S. Nationals will be held in Ohio and the winners of the video game and trading card tournament will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to compete at the World Championship in San Francisco later this summer.
Meanwhile, two new editions have been confirmed to come to Europe. The first is a limited edition Solgaleo- and Lunala-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL that will arrive in November. While the second is the "Fan Editions," which come with the retail version of the game but released in a special Steel Book case showing both legendary Pokémon. Pricing has yet to be announced, and it is unknown if these items will arrive in the west.
"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" are expected to release in Japan, North America and Australia on Nov, 18 and in Europe on Nov. 23.
