Employees at the Best Buy in Altoona, Pennsylvania, say that Luigi Mangione stopped by their store and made some Google searches before his arrest on murder charges.
Mangione, 26, is accused of shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Dec. 4 while Thompson walked to an investors meeting in Manhattan. Mangione was arrested Dec. 9 in an Altoona McDonald's after an employee tipped off authorities.
Now, some employees at the town's Best Buy say that Mangione came to their store and conducted Google searches on their display computers, according to a report by NewsNation reporter Alex Caprariello.
"The employee told me the computer he used was pulled off the shelf after he left, presumably by law enforcement for their investigation. It's unclear what he was searching or if he purchased anything," Caprariello wrote on X.
Earlier Thursday, Mangione waived extradition to New York on a slew of charges, including murder as an act of terrorism. His decision to waive extradition expedited the judicial process, resulting in Mangione being immediately taken to New York.
