"The Great One" Wayne Gretzky's daughter is getting hitched. Paulina Gretzky -- the self-proclaimed queen of selfies -- posted to Instagram Saturday that she and boyfriend Dustin Johnson of PGA fame would be getting married. The picture depicted her, 24, and her boyfriend kissing, with her hand on his shoulder in perfect position to show off the engagement ring. She caption the shot: "Never been happier." The two began dating at the end of last year, and were discovered to be a couple by the media in January 2013 when the model joined her golfer boyfriend at the PGA Tour in Kapalua, Hawaii, Yahoo News reports.
"I pick the wrong guys, so I'm waiting for the right guy to come pick me. And I don't want to be anywhere near a hockey player," Paulina told Flare magazine back in 2011 when she was making headlines for posting so-called racy photos to social networking sites.
Her father Wayne is perhaps the best-known hockey player of all time. The Canadian helped the Edmonton Oilers reach the Stanley Cup during the 80s, and landed the Los Angeles Kings in the Stanley Cup finals in 1993. Her brother sent a congratulatory tweet shortly after the photo was posted, though her 51-year-old father has yet to make a public statement.
Here's four quick facts about her 29-year-old fiance:
1. Seven wins in six years
Johnson is a young prodigy in the PGA Tour. When he was spotted with the Gretzky family, he sealed his win in the Tournament of Champions. He has already secured seven wins in only six years of play in the PGA Tour. He is the first player since Tiger Woods to have won at least once during each year of his career.
2. Dated Natalie Gubis?
Both Gretzky and Johnson have been rumored to have been dating people within the sports closest to them. Shortly before his relationship with the Great One's daughter, it was rumored that he was dating women's professional golfer Natalie Gubis. Gretzky has been previously linked to Los Angeles Kings forward Jarett Stoll. Both Johnson and Gretzky have denied these claims.
3. One of the longest drivers in the Tour
Perhaps one of Johnson's claims to fame is his driving ability. He was ranked the third-best driver in the PGA Tour for three consecutive years, from 2009 - 2011. He has been ranked within the top five for each of his years on the Tour.
