Even though she has no idea what she's getting herself into, Paquita la del Barrio assures that she's stoked and ready for her new venture. According to TVNotas, the Mexican songstress will join the cast of "Amor de Barrio." "It seems as if they need my serivces," Paquita told the publication. "I don't even know that telenovela, I never watch it, but I'll be there making a fool of myself. I'll be there if God permits it," she added.
It is unkown what role the 68-year-old iconic ranchera and mariachi singer will have, but she's ready for the challenge. "I hope my participation works," she said. "I don't know what I'm going to do, but I hope the producer and people like it."
"Amor De Barrio," starring Renata Notni and Mané de la Parra, will not be Paquita's first small screen gig. Let's not forget that the singer has also made appearances in classic novelas such as "Modelo Antiguo," "Cansada de Besar Sapos," "María Mercedes" and "Velo de novia."
