Paquita la del Barrio has been bashing men and empowering women through her music since she released her first album in 1988. Though her discography goes as back as 27 years, the Mexican singer's career began 45 years ago, when she would croon people at local restaurants at the age of 23.

Never in a million years, did Paquita, born Francisca Viveros Barradas, expect to gain international success with her music, primarily dedicated to the sexist male culture a.k.a, los hombres inutiles!

"You never imagine where you're going and what you will achieve, this industry is very hard," she said to TVNotas. "At first you work to eat and maintain your children, but I never imagined what would happen and achieve so much," she said, assuring that she's still the same Francisca and that at 68 years old, she still continues her venture in the music biz.

The "Ratas de dos Patas" songstress, who sings from the heart and personal life experiences, states that she's a proud mother and grandmother, and will continue to do what she knows best.

''Celebrating so many years singing with the satisfactions that life gives you, the good and the bad memories, I feel very happy, like never before!," she said of marking 45 years in her trajectory.
