Rain forced the cast members of “Outlander” Season 5 to seek shelter in their respective trailers recently. After filming the popular time-travelling TV series for five years in Scotland, the actors are used to the unpredictable weather there. Filming was only slightly delayed and it is admittedly going well.

Tim Downie, who will be reprising his role as Governor Tryon, recently shared a video from the production set of the TV series. The actor was inside his trailer while rain had forced the other cast and crew members to also seek shelter. Massive clouds overhead threatened to stop the team from doing the work, but the actor said in the video that the filming is “going well.”

Ulysses actor Colin McFarlane will be back on the set next week to film his scenes. Responding to Downie’s video on Twitter, McFarlane hoped that the rains subside by the time he has to start his work. The actor joked that he will bring a large umbrella just in case.

In his post, McFarlane thanked Downie for the heads up, and he also assured the fans that the production of “Outlander” Season 5 is on track. Downie said that he is looking forward to meeting his colleague on set, and he jokingly asked if it would be possible for McFarlane to fit a boat in his luggage.

The TV series celebrated the five-year anniversary of the show recently. The official “Outlander” Twitter page shared a small video of lead cast members Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe to mark the airing of the first season.

Balfe recalled how she was excited to learn that around 1.8 million people had watched the premiere after they were not sure how many people would be interested in seeing what they made. Heughan remembered how he and his “telly wife” were both a little shy and nervous when they first met.

The video from the production set teased the costumes and the look of both the actors in “Outlander” Season 5. The bruise on Heughan’s face and the blood on his shirt suggest that Jamie Fraser will be getting into some trouble yet again on the show.

"Outlander" is set to return to STARZ sometime around 2020.
