It's not often an actor gets two highly successful TV shows at once but that has happened for Matt McGorry. The actor stars in both "Orange is the new Black" as John Bennet and "How To Get Away With Murder" as Asher. Recently McGorry sat down with TODAY to discuss both characters and juggling two successful TV series.
"It actually helps that they're that different, because there's never any moment where I'm like 'this feels more like Bennett or this feels more like Asher.' They're pretty delineated in my mind and I think that if there was something a little more in the middle, it might bleed over, but they are very different," McGorry said.
According to Melty, McGorry's return to "OITNB" is still unconfirmed. The website further stated when they previously interviewed the actor he was unsure of his characters fate and didn't know if he'd be returning to the Netflix series as Bennet.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Variety Ruby Rose revealed she's unsure of her characters fate on the show. Rose's Stella was introduced in third season and played Piper's (Taylor Schilling) confidante and potential love interest while Alex (Laura Prepon) wasn't around.
"I don't actually know. With Jenji, literally anything could happen," Rose told Variety. "But I think they've already started shooting in New York and I'm obviously not in those episodes. I think if Stella were to come back, it would be a pretty hefty storyline. She wouldn't just be coming back happy about the situation."
Furthermore, if Stella is to return ot "OITNB" many fans are wondering whether her relationship with Piper will continue. Although the two characters have a fun dynamic, people would rather see Piper and Alex make it work and Schilling agrees.
"Everyone always wants Alex and Piper to end up together," Schilling told People. "They're kind of like Ross and Rachel, you know? Like maybe they shouldn't be together. We're a very dark, dysfunctional Ross and Rachel."
"Orange is the New Black" will return to Netflix for its fourth season June 2016.
