OnePlus has been known to come out with surprises and their upcoming event this weekend could see key announcements or new product revelations.
OnePlus is set to hold an event on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 2:30 p.m. local time to commemorate its ninth year of existence.
Leading the event will be OnePlus CEO and co-founder Pete Lau and Li Jie, president of OnePlus China. Beyond that, it remains to be seen if new products or developments will be revealed.
However, the released poster of the said event could tease what may be coming soon. The tagline of the poster read: “New direction, new action, new future.”
With that tagline, there is a possibility that a teaser for the OnePlus 11. With rumors swirling that the device could be launching by the first quarter of 2023, touching it on the upcoming event could make sense and spur further details that most are eagerly anticipating.
As of this writing, it has yet to be confirmed what to expect from the OnePlus 11. Some of the potential features have been revealed, something spotted thanks to a recent certification by the 3C certification database that was revealed. This included the OnePlus 11 providing support for 100W charging.
The model number charging the OnePlus 11 is VCBAJACH, with a maximum output of 11V/9.1A. It appears that this would be the same adapter that powers up the Realme GT2 Explorer Master, an affordable flagship intended for India.
Ironically, both are under the Oppo umbrella. Hence, it makes sense that the two devices share some components although this has not been heard of before.
Other features rumored thus far include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, up to 16 GB of RAM, fast UFS 4.0 storage, as well as a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display. Also, it will have the Hasselblad-tuned camera system to back the 50MP main camera.
Once it is officially unveiled, the OnePlus 11 may be priced in the $800 price range.
